26th National Conference

26th National Conference of Sahodaya Schools Complex, organised by Bangalore Sahodaya in collaboration with CBSE on 11th December and 12th December, 2020 was attended by the Principal and Headmaster from school.
The main focus was on National Education Policy.
Ms Anita Karwal Secretary Education, Govt of India highlighted that Assessment is not for judging students, it is an opportunity. She also discussed learning outcomes.
Shri Manoj Ahuja, Chairman CBSE, stressed on, child centric education concept, competency based education and not chapter based learning), critical thinking and Applied knowledge, Literacy and numeracy in foundation stages.
Shri Suresh Kumar, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Sakala, Govt of Karnataka launched Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Cabinet Minister for Education informed that NEP has been researched extensively , spoke about Education in India in Ancient times , mentioned Kautilya, Aryabhata, Brahmagupta, etc., about the Universities then like Nalanda and Takshila. He also mentioned that India will be the first country to include AI (artificial intelligence) in school education. Vocational education will be held with internships etc.
He inaugurated some manuals.
There were several other panelists speaking on child centric education and inclusive education.
Some cultural programmes of Karnataka were also included.
It was an enlightening session, quite enriching and informative.
