REPORT ON PARENTS ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME (Class III & IV)

Main points of the programme:

The objective of the workshop was to guide the parents, different ways to motivate the students for attending online classes for effective learning.

To improve the students’ work presentation.
-
Importance of online classes was explained to the parents.
-
We discussed that the way student learns post COVID has changed a lot and online learning became a need for saving the academic year.
-
However, keeping students interested in learning should be a combined effort for both teachers and parents.

We discussed some tips to make online learning fun for kids, such as:

Create a study space for your child.
-
Set a routine.
-
Praise their effort.
-
Be around.
-
Understand the pace of learning of your child.
-
Importance of morning assembly, Physical activity class and Value education class were explained to the parents.

Certain guidelines for attendance and work presentation were given in the meeting:
-
Students must attend all the classes, in case of any absence in the class parents must inform to the concerned class teacher.

Absentees should check the information, instruction and notes shared in subject whatsapp group by the teachers on daily basis & update their works.

All the books and note books to be covered properly and to write the names of the child neatly.
-
Students should maintain proper handwriting and draw proper margins in the note book.

Make sure that dates are mentioned while solving their daily home assignment given by each subject teachers.

Students should use only blue gel pen for writing in their notebooks.

Before the start of the class, each student will sit down with the textbook, notebook, pen/pencil, eraser, scale and all the necessary things.

The title of the topic should start from the first line of the page, not in white space on the notebook.

The index must be specified in each notebook.

General guidelines for students for attending online classes were discussed which are as follows:

Students must join the class link at scheduled time.
-
Students should be in proper school uniform with ID Card.
-
They must keep their video on and audio in mute position.
-
Camera should be positioned in such a way that the student is visible.
-
They should sign up with their own names.
-
They must not leave the class without permission of the teacher.
-
Students should not receive any calls during the class hours nor should they call or message any teacher during the class hours.

Students should be ready with pen/pencil, textbooks, and notebooks of the concerned subject.
-
Students will not interact with anyone around while attending online classes.
-
To avoid unnecessary disturbances students must sit at a place where they could get good network connectivity and avoid noise.

Morning assembly will be done in the first period everyday which is mandatory for all the students to attend.
